Buhari charged to court

The presidential competitor of the All Progressive Congress (APC), General Muhammadu Buhari has been dragged to a Federal High Court in Abuja by a rancher.

Vanguard reports that the farmer who hails from Abia State, Mr. Sergin Onuka Ibe‎ approached the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja, begging is not to permit Buhari, to challenge the March 28 presidential decision on the stage of the APC.

‎Ibe, through his legal counsel Mr. U.O. Ukairo,‎ requested the court to invoke its original powers and compel ‎Buhari to not only withdraw from the presidential race, but to also stop parading himself as a legitimate candidate for the election.

The plaintiff contended that the 1st defendant (Buhari), is not legally fit to contest for presidency in view of the pendency of a perjury charge against him.

The farmer also maintained that Buhari violated the provision of section 31 of the Electoral Act by lying on oath about his educational qualifications.
