Following the absence of the presiding judge, Magistrate Alatuwo Fubara of the Magistrates’ Court in Port Harcourt on Thursday, the hearing of the bail application for controversial blogger, Kemi Olunloyo and Port Harcourt-based publisher, Samuel Walson have been stalled.
Ms Olunloyo was arrested alongside Walson for purportedly publishing materials believed to have defamed Pastor David Ibiyeomie of Salvation Ministries in Port Harcourt.
Though they were expected to appear in court on Thursday morning, it was gathered that the absence of Magistrate Fubara due to ill health forced them to stay back in prison custody.
The duo’s lawyers and counsel for Salvation Ministries were also present at the court.
